Program Manager, Built Environment and Land Use Program, Seattle and King County Public Health
Anne Biklé is the program manager for the Built Environment and Land Use program within the Seattle & King County Public Health Department. Current initiatives of the program include: integrating public health into climate change responses; supporting healthy eating and active living strategies; piloting Health Impact Assessment, and developing policies and language for land use and transportation plans that can produce and sustain public health. She brings a diverse background in environmental planning and issues analysis, community organizing, and advocacy to the fields of public health and land use planning.
Prior to joining Seattle-King County Public Health, Ms. Biklé worked at the local government level in environmental stewardship with a focus on watershed plan implementation, salmon habitat restoration, and land conservation. She holds Bachelor degrees in Biology and Environmental Studies from the Univ. of Calif. — Santa Cruz and a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture from the Univ. of Calif. — Berkeley .
