City of Apple Valley
Apple Valley is a vibrant community in Dakota county with a population of 50,000 residents. The city has a compact downtown core with a good trail and sidewalk network with higher density development.
With funding from BCBS, the community plans on incorporating the principles of active living into their comprehensive plan as well as planning for bike and pedestrian oriented transportation and complete streets.
