City of Eden Prairie

Eden Prairie, located in the southwest corner of Hennepin County, is a community of approximately 62,000 residents and 44,000 jobs. The city is 36 square miles with 17 lakes, three creeks and one river bordering the southern city limits. It is connected by more than 100 miles of multi-use trails with 2, 250 acres of park land and 1,300 acres of preserved land for open uses.

The City of Eden Prairie is using funds from the BCBSMN Active Community Planning grant to promote and incorporate active living into its comprehensive plan and zoning ordinances.
