City of St. Louis Park

St. Louis Park, located just east of Minneapolis, is a community of 44,126 residents. Residential areas comprise the largest portion of the community. St. Louis Park has 51 parks and has bike trails linking St. Louis Park to downtown Minneapolis, the Uptown area, Hopkins and Chaska.

The City of St. Louis Park is using funds from the BCBSMN Active Community Planning grant to more clearly incorporate active living principles into their comprehensive plan and zoning code.

Project update:

The City of St. Louis Park , in conjunction with SRF Consulting Group, is developing a bicycle and pedestrian master plan that will be incorporated into the comprehensive plan. The plan focuses on mode shift, safe crossings, closing gaps in the sidewalk system, and developing green connections. The city will complete the draft plan in September and gather public feedback in October and November.
